Indian Embassy In Italy vandalised by pro-Khalistani supporters: Report

Several pro-Khalistani supporters reportedly vandalised the Indian embassy in Rome and put up Khalistan flags and banners at the gate ahead of India’s 72nd Republic Day on January 26, according to reports.

Pages of the Indian Constitution were torn and thrown onto the streets. The visuals of the incident, was widely circulated on social media.

In view of the Republic Day, India had reportedly raised its concerns with the Italian authorities.

According to reports, the government of India expressed hope that the Italian authorities will take action against the perpetrators.

On Tuesday, members of Khalistani separatist groups and others were seen in support of farmers outside the Indian embassy in Washington DC, the NDTV reported.

A protest was aslo held in front of the Indian mission against the new laws passed by the government of India in the farm, agricultural sectors.
