Army Unveils ‘India Selfie Point’ Near LoC

This symbolic gesture by Nagi reflects the increasing sense of nationalism in the valley….reports Asian Lite News

In a notable initiative, the Indian Army has inaugurated the ‘India Selfie Point’ near the Line of Control in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Renowned artist Rouble Nagi generously gifted this innovative space, adding to her contributions in various locations across the region. Nagi, recognized for her work in art, literature, and social causes, has been particularly instrumental in empowering women in rural Kashmir through skill development initiatives and fostering village entrepreneurs under her Art Foundation.

This symbolic gesture by Nagi reflects the increasing sense of nationalism in the valley. The ‘India Selfie Point’ was officially opened by the Dagger Division, in the presence of senior army officials and distinguished civilians from Uri. Positioned strategically along NH-44, the selfie point offers an immersive and interactive space designed to revolutionize the way visitors capture and share moments in the remote border region of Uri in Baramulla district.

Conceptualized with the goal of providing a distinctive and engaging environment, the selfie point embodies the Army’s commitment to enhancing community engagement. It not only serves as a picturesque location for locals and tourists to enjoy the breathtaking scenery with the Jhelum River as a backdrop but also symbolizes the spirit of Vibrant India.

The officials emphasize that the ‘#INDIA Selfie Point’ goes beyond being just a photo spot; it is an immersive experience encouraging self-expression and celebrating the beauty of Uri. Whether one is a photography enthusiast, a social media influencer, or an individual seeking to capture a special moment, this space is thoughtfully designed to inspire and resonate with the essence of the region.Top of Form
