With less than three weeks remaining until the G20 Summit, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have unveiled plans to construct a thematic park commemorating India’s presidency of the bloc ahead of the grand event.

Set within the premises of an existing park in M Block of Greater Kailash 2, the G20-themed park will showcase an artistically rendered G20 logo and captivating artworks.

The park’s allure will be further enriched by stone sculptures depicting elephants and various other animals, as revealed by a senior representative from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

When asked about the project’s timeline, the official expressed the intention to swiftly present the park as a “gift” to the public. With the G20 Summit scheduled for September 9, the aspiration is to complete the construction before the commencement of the event, the official conveyed to PTI.

Having assumed the G20 presidency on December 1, India has since orchestrated around 200 meetings across diverse avenues. The pinnacle of this presidency, the summit, is earmarked for September 9-10.
