Modi invites Egypt President for G20 summit in Sep  

Kwatra said that President Sisi conferred on the Prime Minister, ‘The Order of the Nile’ honour which is the highest civilian award in Egypt…reports Asian Lite News

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended an invitation to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for the G20 summit which will be held in New Delhi in September.

Briefing the media in Cairo about Prime Minister’s two-day state visit to Egypt, which concluded on Sunday, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said: “Both the leaders gave particular focus on enhancing political and security co-operation, defence collaboration, trade and investment ties and scientific collaboration.”

Kwatra said that President Sisi conferred on the Prime Minister, ‘The Order of the Nile’ honour which is the highest civilian award in Egypt.

The Prime Minister remarked that the recognition symbolises two main things — the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries and the people of the two societies, the Foreign Secretary said.
