Trump Sworn In as 47th President of USA

Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States during a historic ceremony at the US Capitol, with US Chief Justice John Roberts administering the oath. The event was marked by the presence of former presidents, political figures, and business leaders, underscoring the significance of the moment.

Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States during the 60th Presidential Inauguration at the US Capitol. US Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath, marking a new chapter in American politics.

Prior to Trump’s swearing-in, JD Vance took the oath of office as Vice President. Trump, accompanied by outgoing President Joe Biden, arrived at the Capitol from the White House for the ceremony. Vice President Kamala Harris escorted VP-elect Vance, emphasizing the smooth transition of power.

Melania Trump joined the event at the Rotunda alongside Usha Vance, JD Vance’s wife. Other notable attendees included Jill Biden, the First Lady, and Doug Emhoff, the Second Gentleman.

The audience was filled with dignitaries and notable figures. Trump’s cabinet nominees were seated ahead of the inauguration, reflecting the incoming administration’s preparation. Among the attendees were former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and tech mogul Elon Musk, who are set to co-chair the newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency.

Former US Presidents and First Ladies, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, George and Laura Bush, and Barack Obama, attended to witness the historic event. The presence of these political stalwarts underscored the significance of the day.

Trump’s children—Ivanka, Donald Jr., Tiffany, Eric, and Barron Trump—were also present, symbolizing family unity. Business titans such as Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Sundar Pichai attended, highlighting the intersection of politics and business in this new era.

After the swearing-in, President Trump will participate in a signing ceremony in the President’s Room, a tradition initiated by President Ronald Reagan in 1981. This ceremony will see the signing of key nominations and proclamations, setting the administrative tone for Trump’s presidency.

Following this, a luncheon will be held, and President Trump will review the troops before joining the inaugural parade on Capitol Hill. Later in the day, Trump and Melania will head to the White House for another signing ceremony and deliver remarks at the Convention Centre.

The day will culminate with a series of inaugural balls, including the Liberty Ball, the Commander-in-Chief Ball, and the United Station Ball. The celebrations will conclude with Trump’s return to the White House, capping off a day of significant events.

This inauguration marks not just a transition of power, but a new direction for the United States,” said a senior official, reflecting the sentiments of the day.
