Modi Departs for Paris to Co-Chair AI Action Summit

During his visit, Modi will also engage in high-level talks with Macron, aiming to further strengthen the India-France strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for Paris, where he will co-chair the AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit will bring together world leaders and top tech executives to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on innovation and ethical development.

During his visit, Modi will also engage in high-level talks with Macron, aiming to further strengthen the India-France strategic partnership. The discussions are expected to review progress under the 2047 Horizon Roadmap, a long-term plan for deepening bilateral cooperation.

The visit will also take him to Marseille, where he will inaugurate India’s first consulate in France. Additionally, he will visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a major global project focused on harnessing fusion energy, in which India plays a key role.

As a tribute to the historical ties between India and France, Modi will pay homage to Indian soldiers who fought in the World Wars at the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille.

Following his engagements in France, the Prime Minister will travel to the United States for a two-day visit, marking his first meeting with President Donald Trump since the latter’s re-election. The talks in Washington are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in technology, trade, defence, energy, and supply chain resilience.

Modi’s visit to the US is seen as an opportunity to build on past collaborations and advance a forward-looking agenda that benefits both nations.
