‘The Roshans’: Rakesh Roshan Reveals Monochromatic Glimpse of New Documentary

Renowned filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, known for classics like Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, and Koi… Mil Gaya, is set to unveil a new streaming documentary titled The Roshans. The film offers an intimate look at the legacy of the Roshan family in the Indian film industry.

On Wednesday, Rakesh Roshan took to Instagram Stories to share exclusive assets from the documentary. Among the posts was a monochromatic picture of the director himself, along with clips of his son, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, recounting personal anecdotes about his father.

Earlier this year, the director celebrated the 25th anniversary of his iconic film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, which marked Hrithik’s debut. To commemorate the milestone, Hrithik shared pages from a secret diary he kept two years before his debut. The notes, revealing his meticulous preparation for the role, showcased the dedication that helped him become an overnight sensation.

Hrithik admitted he was initially hesitant to share these private notes but felt it was a fitting tribute to the film’s enduring legacy. His father, Rakesh, expressed surprise in the comments, noting that even he was unaware of the extent of Hrithik’s prep work. “Duggu, wow! I am also seeing it for the first time. God bless,” he wrote.

The Roshans promises to delve into the family’s contributions to Bollywood, highlighting moments of hard work and triumph. Hrithik’s debut in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai came at a time when the industry was dominated by the Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Hrithik’s versatile talent, combining action, dance, and emotive performance, allowed him to carve out a unique space, becoming a celebrated actor in his own right.

With the upcoming documentary, audiences will get an exclusive look into the lives of one of Bollywood’s most influential families, tracing their journey from behind the scenes to center stage.
