Masterclasses by Industry Veterans at Red Lorry Film Festival

The Red Lorry Film Festival, curated by BookMyShow, is set to return for its second edition from March 21 to 23, 2025. The festival promises an exciting lineup of exclusive masterclasses and insightful discussions led by industry stalwarts like Guneet Monga, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Alok Tandon, Akarsh Khurana, Sooni Taraporevala, Anjum Rajabali, and Kausar Munir, among others.

Producer Guneet Monga will kick off the festival with an interactive masterclass on how to take independent films to the global stage. Her session will provide invaluable insights into navigating the international film market and expanding the reach of independent cinema. Siddharth Roy Kapur, the renowned producer, will lead a candid discussion on the evolving cinema and entertainment landscape, touching on how the industry is adapting to changing audience demands and the rise of digital platforms.

Directors Akarsh Khurana and Sooni Taraporevala will also join the festival to discuss the art of storytelling, delving into how narratives in cinema are shifting in response to global cultural and technological changes. Screenwriter Anjum Rajabali will lead a session focused on the nuances of compelling storytelling, exploring what makes a script engaging and impactful.

In addition, attendees can look forward to a session exploring Hollywood’s transformation from niche entertainment to a global box office powerhouse. Lyricist Kausar Munir will explore the lyrical essence of filmmaking, shedding light on how music and lyrics enhance the emotional impact of a film.

Tess Joseph, a renowned casting director, will host a session on the intricate art of casting, revealing the process of finding faces that captivate audiences worldwide. Author Tanuja Chaturvedi will also lead a discussion on the strong, self-realized, and flawed female characters portrayed in the films of Dev Anand and Goldie Anand.
Meanwhile, Humans of Cinema founder Harshit Bansal will share his strategies for creating engaging visual analyses and movie-themed series that consistently reach millions of viewers.
