Bhumi Pednekar to Represent India at Davos 2025 as YGL

Renowned actress and climate advocate Bhumi Pednekar has been selected as a member of the prestigious World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders (YGL) Community. Representing India, Pednekar will attend the Davos 2025 World Economic Forum annual event in Switzerland.

Pednekar shared glimpses of her journey to the event on Instagram, posting a video from her car ride in Switzerland. Reflecting on her role as a Young Global Leader, she expressed her commitment to balancing her responsibilities amid a packed schedule. “I really want to attend Davos despite my hectic shooting calendar. Being a Young Global Leader is about excelling in our individual fields while making a meaningful impact. This year is incredibly busy for me as an actor, entrepreneur, and someone who wants to contribute positively. I hope to be present at Davos and every platform where my voice is needed,” she said.

In addition to her participation at Davos, Pednekar is set to star alongside Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in the upcoming romantic entertainer Mere Husband Ki Biwi. As the film nears its release, the team is focused on completing the remaining shoot and post-production work.

However, recent reports revealed an unfortunate accident on the set during a song shoot at Imperial Palace, Royal Palms. A ceiling collapse caused injuries among the crew. While no major injuries were reported among the main cast, the director of photography (DOP) suffered a fractured thumb, and a cameraman sustained a spinal injury. Director Mudassar Aziz also received minor injuries.

Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 21st. Despite the incident, the team remains optimistic about the film’s completion and upcoming release.
