Passion, Talent, and Technology: Experts Chart Future of VFX and Gaming

The Summit of Future, organized by JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) witnessed an insightful panel discussion on the future of gaming, animation, and VFX titled “Future Play – Gaming, Animation, VFX Tomorrow.” Industry leaders shared valuable insights on emerging trends and career prospects in the creative technology sector.

Manvendra Shukul, CEO of Lakshya Digital, emphasized the importance of passion and perseverance in achieving success. “If you are passionate about something, no one can stop you,” he remarked, recounting Lakshya Digital’s journey and the evolution of India’s gaming industry. “When we started, there was a huge shortage of talent. We brought professionals from abroad and later opened our own academy to nurture talent,” he shared.

Ashish Kulkarni, Founder of Punnaryug Artvision Pvt Ltd, highlighted the growing role of visual effects in filmmaking. “VFX has become an integral part of cinema. Good visual effects are seamless, and the audience can’t distinguish them from the original footage,” Kulkarni noted.

Jayakumar P, CEO of Toonz Media Group, urged students to master the fundamentals and develop speed in execution. “Animation is a fine balance of artistry and technology. You need to come up with the ‘PHD’ approach — passion, hunger, and discipline,” he advised.
