India Praises UAE’s Global AI Benchmark

Kaustubh Dhavse, Maharashtra CM’s OSD, hailed the UAE’s AI model as a global benchmark driving digital innovation and attracting global talent…reports Asia Lite News

Kaustubh Dhavse, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Government of India, has praised the UAE’s experience in artificial intelligence (AI) as a leading global model that has helped shape a pioneering digital environment, attracting talent and companies from around the world.

In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of the Dubai AI Festival, Dhavse said that while core AI policies are similar worldwide, what sets the UAE apart is its implementation across key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.

“What the UAE is doing is exceptional. It has succeeded in designing a flexible legislative framework that encourages innovation,” he noted.

Dhavse noted that his visit to the UAE aims to explore opportunities for collaboration between Maharashtra government and entities participating in the festival. The state, one of India’s frontrunners in AI adoption, is looking to learn from global best practices and establish meaningful partnerships.

“We are currently exploring new partnerships, intergovernmental cooperation agreements, and joint initiatives in training and skills development,” he said, expressing optimism about the possibility of signing new deals or partnerships during the event.
