Nykaa Expands Global Footprint with UK Debut

To commemorate this significant global debut, Nykaa’s leadership hosted an exclusive soiree at the George Club in Mayfair, London

Nykaa, India’s leading beauty and lifestyle destination, is set to make a grand entry into the UK market, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. The beauty giant, known for revolutionizing the Indian beauty landscape, will debut in London with its celebrated in-house brand, Kay Beauty, exclusively at the prestigious Space NK. This marks the first step in Nykaa’s journey to take India’s vibrant beauty ethos to international shores, starting with the UK.

Having already made strides in the GCC region with its omnichannel platform ‘Nysaa’, Nykaa now takes its next big leap. The House of Nykaa Beauty, India’s second-largest homegrown beauty portfolio, is poised to offer a curated selection of products that capture the essence of Indian beauty and fashion. With an annualized Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) run rate of approximately ₹2,300 crore as of Q1 FY 2026, Nykaa’s beauty ecosystem has become a force to reckon with, serving over 13 million customers in India through both online and over 38,000 physical distribution points.

To commemorate this significant global debut, Nykaa’s leadership hosted an exclusive soiree at the George Club in Mayfair, London. The event was a celebration of diversity, ambition, and the values that define Kay Beauty—a brand co-founded by Nykaa and Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif in 2019. The gathering included dignitaries from the Indian High Commission, senior beauty executives, key opinion leaders, and distinguished figures from the UK’s cultural and business circles. Esteemed personalities, such as Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor and restaurateur Samyukta Nair, also attended, adding a touch of glamour to the evening.

The celebration highlighted Nykaa’s vision of inclusivity, diversity, and its commitment to elevating beauty standards globally. “Nykaa’s journey toward becoming a global beauty brand has been marked by significant milestones,” said Adwaita Nayar, Co-founder and Executive Director of Nykaa and CEO of House of Nykaa. “With Kay Beauty’s launch in the UK, we are not only bringing Indian beauty to the world but also celebrating our rich cultural heritage and evolving beauty story.”

Since its inception, Kay Beauty has grown into one of India’s most beloved and fastest-growing beauty brands. With a strong presence across India, especially in metro cities and tier 2 and 3 markets, Kay Beauty has become synonymous with high-performance makeup products, inclusive beauty, and skin-loving ingredients. In just five years, the brand has won the hearts of over 2.5 million customers and established a robust offline presence in more than 700 premium stores across India.

Building on this success, Kay Beauty expanded into the GCC, where it quickly became one of the top five makeup brands on Nykaa’s omnichannel platform, Nysaa. Now, with its UK debut, Kay Beauty aims to break new ground, bringing its diverse and modern beauty offerings to an even wider audience. The UK launch at Space NK—one of the most prestigious luxury beauty retailers in the world—marks a historic moment for Indian beauty on the global stage.

The exclusive event on September 9th at Space NK brought together beauty lovers, influencers, and industry experts for an unforgettable experience. Led by legendary makeup artist Daniel Bauer, the event featured an intimate masterclass where Bauer shared his signature beauty techniques with the guests. The celebration also gave attendees the chance to explore Kay Beauty’s bestselling products, including foundations, lipsticks, and highlighters that cater to diverse skin tones.

Adding a cultural flair to the event, contemporary Indian music and curated cultural elements were integrated into the celebration, making it a fusion of luxury beauty and rich Indian traditions. The evening was not just about makeup but about embracing the diverse cultural roots that Kay Beauty represents—bringing together people from different backgrounds to celebrate beauty that transcends borders.

Nykaa’s global expansion is driven by a deep understanding of consumer needs and a commitment to offering products that not only enhance beauty but also empower individuals. Kay Beauty’s UK debut is a testament to Nykaa’s ambition to reshape global beauty narratives, with products designed for all skin tones, types, and preferences.

Falguni Nayar, Executive Chairperson and Managing Director of Nykaa, shared her excitement about the brand’s international journey: “This is only the beginning. Our vision is to take the best of Indian beauty to the world, offering diverse consumers globally the opportunity to experience beauty that is both modern and timeless.”

Nykaa’s UK debut is more than just a product launch; it’s a celebration of India’s evolving beauty narrative on the world stage. With Kay Beauty leading the charge, the House of Nykaa continues to expand its portfolio of dynamic in-house brands. Alongside Kay Beauty, Nykaa Cosmetics, Dot & Key, Nykaa Wanderlust, Nykaa Perfumery, Earth Rhythm, and Nykaa Collection form an ecosystem of iconic beauty brands that represent the modern Indian spirit.

As Nykaa continues to carve its path on the global beauty stage, its success will no doubt inspire a new wave of Indian beauty innovation—shaping trends, challenging conventions, and creating a future where beauty is celebrated across cultures.
