Pune-based Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale has drawn up plans to expand in the UK market. Rahul Laud meets Indraneel Chitale and his team on the occasion of their launch to announce partnership with the London-based Chaugulae Global Inc
At a glittering, classy and exotic launch at the swanky Osmo in London, Pune headquartered Chitale BANDHU Mithaiwale announced their partnership with the UK’s Chaughule Global Inc. Chitale is one of India’s oldest brands that has ruled consumers’ hearts for over 75 years. This brand has a legacy, tradition, and history of serving supreme-quality dairy, savouries, and sweets through its stores and franchises in the Indian market. Today, it fancies a global recognition and to expand and entrench deep into the UK market, Chitales have identified Chaughule Global Inc as their exclusive partner.

Indraneel Chitale, Managing Partner at Chitale Bandhu, who has taken a keen interest in expanding the Chitale operations in the UK, was accompanied by his COO, Allhad Kulkarni, to attend the launch and oversee the growth and expansion of the Chitale brand and offer encouragement and support to their newly appointed partner. Chaughule Global Inc. is headed by CEO Anjusha Chaughule, a London-based entrepreneur who empowers global trade with purpose. She specialises in premium brand distribution, exports, and strategic partnerships across the UK and beyond is now the official UK & Ireland Country Partner for Chitale Bandhu.
The launch event was a celebration of rich heritage, authentic flavours, and culinary craftsmanship. According to Allhad Kulkarni, “With a strategic presence across key retail and e-commerce platforms, Chitale Bandhu is poised to become a leading name in the ethnic snacking segment, to serve both the South Asian diaspora and the British Public. Shriram Ambarkar, First Secretary from the High Commission of India, was the Chief Guest for the launch.

Indraneel Chitale was “open to new ideas.” ” Business grows with partnerships, and I am glad we have a very strong country partner in Anjusha Chaughule and Chaughule Global Inc.,” he said on the occasion. Indraneel clearly stated that although they were keen to innovate and explore new tastes aligned to the British market, their iconic products like bakarwadi, chivda, mango barfi, etc, would not be compromised on their original taste. He elaborated that their Binge Bar is an innovative product that would attract Gen Z across the globe as well as the traditional consumer. It’s a snack bar easy to consume on the go, and also a great accompaniment as a nibble for the connoisseurs who love to eat and drink. Indraneel assured all “omnichannels will be tapped” to expand the Chitale brand in the UK. Chitales are aggressive with advertising and marketing, and the appointment of Sachin Tendulkar as their Brand ambassador and their partnership with the Mumbai Indians for the IPL is a testimony to this fact. Cricket, food and Indians are a strong connection, and the brand exploits it to the hilt. Probably the same model they would adopt to expand in the UK.

Recently when Anjusha was spotted at the IPL match with Chitale merchandise, Anjusha said, “As someone who’s spent years in branding & strategic positioning, I know the kind of brilliance it takes to place a homegrown icon into the hands of millions in the right moment, on the right platform, with the right emotion. This wasn’t just about snacks. It was about storytelling, strategy, and scale. It was about taking something deeply familiar and making it globally aspirational.” She added, “From Ganpati idols crossing oceans with devotion, to Bhakarwadi meeting cricket cheers, this is what my journey is about, bridging India and the UK through culture, tradition, and bold ventures. Because when legacy meets leadership, magic happens.”
Anjusha is the Founder of Vighnaharta Ganesha, and Thru My Eyes – A storytelling initiative sharing lived experiences, inspiring resilience and truth and Women’s Entrepreneur Hub – A local mini-mall style platform to showcase women-led businesses.

Anjusha has her hand in politics too as a Ward Chair & council Spokesperson of Wandsworth Conservatives. She is Women’s Officer – Putney Conservative Association, and in the Upcoming Contest in May 2026 for Wandsworth Town Council (Roehampton Ward), she will contest as a Conservative Party candidate.

In the last two years, she has established and launched an eco-conscious brand, “Vighnaharta Ganesha,” in both London and Auckland. Her Mumbai location has been thriving for the past five years, and these new expansions mark a significant milestone in her journey. She has created the largest pop-up store for Ganesh idols in a prime London location. Her sons, Aarya and Shalin, have taken care of the venture. Vighnaharta Ganesha UK, a spiritual legacy by Chaughule Global Inc., that redefines devotion through design, brings exquisitely handcrafted Ganesh idols to homes across the United Kingdom.
Chitale and Chaugule partnership has just begun. A strong and steady innings they will play together is the consumer’s hope to get their favourite Chitale products regularly at a modest price.
