Rajnath exudes confidence in winning 2024 polls

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday exuded confidence in winning the upcoming Lok Sabha election and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only party that does what it says.

Singh’s one-day visit to Andhra Pradesh ended with the Elure workers conference, where he joined thousands of BJP workers.

Addressing the conference, the Defence Minister said, “There are a large number of paddy farmers in Andhra Pradesh. The condition of paddy farmers during the UPA regime was such that farmers in many districts had gone on crop holidays because farming had become unprofitable. At that time, I myself went to meet paddy farmers from Amalapuram and other districts.”

“Today, under Modi Ji’s rule, paddy and wheat from farmers are also being purchased at MSP and in the last 10 years, a payment of Rs 18 lakh crore has been made to the paddy and wheat farmers of the country. Today, schemes worth Rs 38,000 crores are going on in the fisheries sector. Due to this, the country’s fish production has almost doubled from 95 lakh metric tonnes to 175 lakh metric tonnes. Fish production in Andhra Pradesh has increased from 39 lakh metric tonnes to 51 lakh metric tonnes,” Singh added.

Applauding the governance of PM Modi, the Defence Minister said, “To solve the irrigation problem of the farmers of Andhra Pradesh, the Central Government has given Rs 15 thousand crore for the Polavaram Project. This project should have been completed long ago but the state government is not serious about it. The Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC), which is being built in Andhra Pradesh, is going to prove to be the economic backbone of Andhra Pradesh. This approximately 465-kilometre-long VCIC corridor is a key component of the East-West Economic Corridor.”

“When Modi Ji comes to Andhra Pradesh, he goes to Veerbhadra Temple, Lepakshi Temple, and Tirupati to honour great men like Alluri Sitaram Raju. Our government has done the work of reminding the contribution that Alluri Raju made to India’s freedom struggle,” he added.

The Defence Minister said that the BJP will form its government in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly polls and Lok Sabha elections.

“This time, the BJP will form government in Andhra Pradesh and not only this, but in the fourth term, Modi ji will again form government at the Centre. I am not asking people to vote for our political motives; we assure you that we will continue to work for public welfare. Our track record was tremendous during the last 10 years of the Modi government,” he said.

“BJP is the only party that does what it says. See our track record. I also ask political analysts to see all our last election manifestos since Jansangh to BJP time. We completed all our promises,” he added.

Highlighting the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Singh said, “Now the nation believes that Ram Rajya will arrive soon. When we were struggling for Ram Lala Temple at that time, the opposition party used to criticise us, saying, ‘Ram Lala hum aayenge tarikh nahi batayenge’.”

“The Andhra Pradesh government has no vision or mission. Around 75 lakh crore of debt belongs to the Andhra government. I wanted to ask YSR to increase tax on everything so all money is gone and the liquor mafia you ( YSR) are supporting. 4 thousand crores were given by the central government under the Jal Jeevan mission but the state government has not implemented this,” he added.

Hitting out the state government, the Defence Minister said, “These parties only think that there family is god and they work for their own family welfare. All our booth-level workers, please go and meet all the beneficiaries and tell them that our Prime Minister has said hello to all of you.” (ANI)
