The global coronavirus caseload has topped 424.1 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 5.88 million and vaccinations to over 10.35 billion, according to Johns Hopkins University…reports Asian Lite News
In its latest update on Monday morning, the University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) revealed that the current global caseload and the death toll stood at 424,154,537 and 5,886,306, respectively, while the total number of vaccine doses administered has increased to 10,350,372,260.
The US continues to be the worst-hit country with the world’s highest number of cases and deaths at 78,476,869 and 935,331, according to the CSSE.
The second worst hit country in terms of cases is India (42,822,473 infections and 511,903 deaths), followed by Brazil (28,218,180 infections and 644,592 deaths).

The other countries with over 5 million cases are France (22,445,580), the UK (18,735,911), Russia (15,147,762), Germany (13,602,431), Turkey (13,504,485), Italy (12,469,975), Spain (10,809,222), Argentina (8,799,858), Iran (6,942,452), the Netherlands (6,171,918), Colombia (6,047,042), Poland (5,513,075) and Mexico (5,407,711), the CSSE figures showed.
The nations with a death toll of over 100,000 are Russia (338,595), Mexico (315,525), Peru (209,298), the UK (161,148), Italy (152,989), Indonesia (145,622), Colombia (138,106), France (137,596), Iran (135,040), Argentina (124,924), Germany (121,281), Ukraine (111,423) and Poland (109,817).
