Shah: CRPF is equal with valour, courage and sacrifice

Describing Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), as synonymous with valour, courage and sacrifice on its 82nd Raising Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday lauded the force for its dedication to serving the society during COVID-19 pandemic.

“I join millions of Indians to wish our brave CRPF personnel and their families on 82nd Raising Day. CRPF is synonymous with valour, courage and sacrifice. Time and again, CRPF has made the nation proud,” Shah tweeted.

The Home Minister further said, “CRPF’s dedication to serving the society during COVID-19 is unparalleled”.

The CRPF came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on July 27, 1939. It became the CRPF on the enactment of the CRPF Act on December 28, 1949. The force is responsible for internal security, specially in terror-hit Jammu and Kashmir and Maoist affected states. The Force completed 82 years of glorious history on Monday.
