Priyanka Hails Congress’ COVID19 Preparedness

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday hailed the work done by the party governments in Punjab, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh to combat the spread of the novel coronavius (COVID-19).

In a tweet, Gandhi said, “Governments of Punjab, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have been fully prepared to face this crisis. Ration is being provided at door steps. Many private hospitals have been taken over by the state government. Hotel rooms are being made isolation wards. State employees have been taken care of.”

She also attached the separate sheets of the preparations made by the three states to combat the spread of COVID-19. Her remarks came amid the lack of preparation witnessed in several states during the 21-day nationwide lockdown.

On Tuesday, the total number of cases crossed 1251 with 32 deaths across the country.
