The celebrations to welcome the Omani ruler are still going on the Sultanate. Omanis admit the services rendered by the ruler over the past 44 years. His Majesty has laid the foundations for a modern state based on citizenship and equality principles.

The modern nation is also based on involving the Omani citizens in drafting and implementing the national development programs in all fields and at all levels. The Omani man has been always included in the top priorities of the wise leadership and the national development; at which human resources development is one of its most important pillars.  His Majesty sought to have an institutional state at which the executive, parliamentary, judicial and service organizations can play their roles, in a way consistent with the Basic Law of the State, and its amendments, and the laws in force.

The state of institutions built by His Majesty the Sultan allows citizens to positively participate at the building of the nation and ensure more prosperity and progress. This will be achieved through cooperation among the institutions of the state which act in harmony to achieve the goals laid down by the wise leadership as per the priorities of each stage.

The examples in all fields and at all executive, parliamentary, service and local councils are countless. It is also evident from the joint meetings between the Council of Oman (which comprises the State Council and Majlis A’Shura) and the Council of Ministers and the level of coordination among them. This is a clear example of H.M the Sultan’s keenness to ensure integrity and solidarity among sons of this kind land.

H.M. the Sultan has made the Omani man the password of the Omani modern Renaissance. H.M. the Sultan attaches special care to youths and women sectors, therefore it is not strange that the Omani man is the cornerstone of the national development endevours, as well as the social and economic programs through subsequent five-year plans (this year is the third year of the 8th five-year development plan 2011-2015).

H.M. the Sultan has affirmed the social aspects and the HRD at the Oman Vision 2040 for which preparations have already started.

The warm receptions and burning eagerness for H.M the Sultan’s return showcases part of this unique relation.

It is worth mentioning that the growth rates achieved by the Sultanate are the best on the Arab level over the past half century (1960-2010). The strategy of the Sultanate is built on diversifying sources of national income, reducing reliance on oil as the main source of national income, caring for agriculture, industry, tourism and mining sectors. It is also built on making optimum use of the Sultanate’s unique geographic location and turning it to a global logistic hub, through developing the Omani ports and the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, started giving fruits and positive outcomes, especially in the light of the growing role played by the private sector as a partner in the national development efforts.
